Which Drainworks membership is right for you?

The Plumbing Protection Partnership, Septic Protection Plan and Family Protection Plan, compared by home and budget.

The short answer

On town sewer, choose the Plumbing Protection Partnership, $159 the first year and $129 to renew. On septic and only worried about the tank, choose the Septic Protection Plan from $24.16 a month. On septic and want plumbing covered too, choose the Family Protection Plan from $35.99 a month.

If your home is on town sewer

The Plumbing Protection Partnership is built for you: a yearly plumbing safety check-up with a water test, waived dispatch fees, priority scheduling, 10% off plumbing and drain service and free estimates on large projects, for $159 the first year and $129 a year after that. It does not include septic discounts.

If you are on septic and want the tank handled

The Septic Protection Plan pumps your tank every two years and inspects it every year, with priority emergency service and 12 inches of digging included. It is $24.16 a month for a 1,000-gallon tank.

If you want the whole house covered

The Family Protection Plan includes everything in the Septic Protection Plan and adds a yearly whole-home plumbing inspection, a water test, waived dispatch fees, 10% off plumbing and drains, and 3-year warranties on qualified work. It is $35.99 a month for a 1,000-gallon tank.

Why septic inspections are crucial for home buyers

Connecticut does not require a septic inspection to sell a house, but a failing system can cost tens of thousands of dollars to replace. A camera inspection before closing tells you the condition of the tank, pipes and field. Drainworks Level 1 inspections start from $450 with a written report.
