A well flow test shows the condition on the day of the test. It is not a drawdown or recovery test. Starting prices from our 2026 pricebook. A real person confirms your price before anything is scheduled.

Know the signs

Before you call.

A few checks can save a service call, or tell us what to bring.

Check the breaker

A tripped well pump breaker is the most common no-water call.

Look at the pressure gauge

Zero pressure points to the pump, the switch or a break in the line.

Listen to the pressure switch

Clicking on and off quickly means the pressure tank has lost its air.

Note any sputtering

Air in the faucets can mean a dropping water level or a leak in the pipe.

How it works

Test. Pull. Replace.

A pump replacement takes about two to three hours on site once the problem is diagnosed.

  1. 01

    Test

We check power, pressure and the switch first.

  2. 02

    Pull

If the pump is the problem, we pull it and test the motor and wire.

  3. 03

    Replace

A new pump goes in and the system is pressure tested.

Questions

Well pumps, answered.

Answers from licensed plumbers and septic installers. Still unsure? Call East CT at (860) 292-0484.

How much does a new well pump cost in Connecticut?
Replacing a 1/2 horsepower submersible pump set up to 300 feet deep starts from $2,893 at Drainworks. Replacing the wire and drop pipe too costs more.
Why do I have no water?
The usual causes are a tripped breaker, a failed pressure switch, a waterlogged pressure tank or a failed pump. We test in that order.
How long do well pumps last?
Many last 10 to 15 years. Short cycling from a bad pressure tank wears them out sooner.
